Job Perk

One of the best parts of my job is that I get to see all sorts of new books when they come into the library. We get such a variety! Before I came to the Children's Department, I got to see all the new adult books. Now, I see all the new children's books, but I do snoop in the adult ares on a regular basis. Also, my best friend here at work, E, sometimes brings me books she knows I'll like. Yesterday she brought me this:

This book is great: filled with crafts, pumpkin carving suggestions (there's even a pineapple one!), recipes, party ideas and costumes! I found a really fun centerpiece idea I hope to make for our Rehearsal Dinner. If my wedding were more of a harvest theme, I'd use this for the actual wedding centerpieces! They're that pretty!

Oh, and don't think that this didn't set me off on a tangent! I placed a ton of other books on hold, including Country Living: Country Christmas!

Oh, and by the way My Life In France is a must read for anyone who liked the Julie & Julia movie! I want to read it again!

ooh, I will have to get that from our library! I just bought the Julie and Julia book and I plan on reading it when I finish the Harry Potter books. They take quite a while to read all 7! I am almost done with 5 now though. I will check out My Life in France too!

I think this looks so fun and is a major perk, regardless of what others say!
