Questions

I have two:

1. Is black appropriate for my Rehearsal? My friends said I can wear black any old time and I should look more "bridal". I have a very cute teal dress I've not yet worn, but I think that might be too summery for October 23rd.

2. Have any of you been spray tanning? I've never gone. I'd like to go before the wedding, but I'm afraid the "tan" will stain my gown.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a week! I've been very wedding crazed....I'll post some Britney pics and tell you all about the last Michigan State Fair soon!

I spray tan...it's never come off on my clothes...You just can't get wet for the first 8 hours and after that you shouldn't stain anything.

I wore a navy blue and white dress to my rehearsal dinner. I think black is fine if you want to wear it. My dress was really dark.

Wear whatever you like! We promise not to send the etiquette police to your dinner!

1. Yes, black is fine. It's classic!

2. Yes, I spray tan but I didn't do it for the wedding. It's nice for a fun night out or a beach trip but with all of those photos I wanted to really look like myself.

Black is fine :O)
And your spray tan wont stain your dress but I would get it done a couple of days before your wedding.

I think black is fine but I tried not to wear it at my wedding. I did end up with a black going away outfit but it had polka dots on it. I got a spray tan and it did not get on my clothes after I took a shower. Have so much fun! xoxo

Wedding crazed is so fun! Hang in there! #1 I say yes, #2, no I have never been, but I have wanted to try it!

I had to get a spray tan right before our wedding due to some unexpected tan lines, and I loved it. It looked natural and didn't come off on my dress at all, just make sure you talk to the salon and get it a day or two ahead of time. That way you don't have to worry about it coming off on the dress! Also, be sure to get personal recommendations from people who have been to a good salon, each "type" of spray tan is different! Good luck:-)

I wore black to my rehearsal with some great black and teal shoes. I've never had a spray tan before, but I hear they're usually good. Good luck!

Spray tans are normally great! If you're worried do a trial run soon and if you like it do it a couple days before the wedding. And, by the way, I had a friend forget to turn around when it beeped and she got 2 rounds of spray on her front side. So she had to pay again and get 2 rounds on her back side. She was really orange. Other than that you'll be great!

Wear whatever you like you'll look great either way!

I obviously have no experience with tanner lol

Last state fair sounds depressing but I hope you had fun!

Hi! I'm so excited to give my pale girl opinon. I've never done spray tan but I've gotten self tanner applied at a spa which worked out much better spray tanning would make nervous! I'd say where whatever color you want to your own rehearsal! Black is always chic.

I always do Mystic tanning! It is the tanner of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders...haha! I was so excited when we got it in my town because of that. In my defense, I was like 14. Anyway...it comes in a couple different intensities. You just go in a booth, close the door, and in 1 minute you are sprayed. I have had it leave residue the first day before I shower, but after that I am fine. I just get it in the evening and wear old clothes, then I go to bed with it and in the morning shower. It stays for a while too. I would try it out a few times before the wedding to get the application of the blocking lotion on your hands and feet right, but it is a great product. If you have questions, you can email me.

I think that "a little black dress" would be perfectly fine. My daughter got a spray tan last year at a spa and it looks very nice. It just smelled funky for awhile because they told her not to shower until the next morning.

Wear whatever you want to wear! I know friends that have worn black to their rehearsal. I have never done spray tanning, but I have heard great things about it!

I think a black dress is fine for your rehearsal. I have never spray tanned, so I can't comment on that part :)

I think I am going to be in the minority and say I would shy away from black. Is your teal dress something you could pair with a black cardigan to make it look less summery?

I think black is classic, and I wore black to my Rehearsal Dinner, and it was super cute. I paired it with bright shoes and a bright clutch! I loved my outfit! And I think the spray tan will be fine...I did it once, and it didn't stain my clothes!

I love spray tanning! In fact, I'll be going to Mystic during my lunch today.

Can't wait to see pics from Brit concert! I hope you had a fun time!!

If you go spray tanning, go at least 4 days before the wedding. That gives you a few shower days so by then, nothing should stain your white dress.

And wear whatever is going to make you comfortable at your rehearsal.

Wear what ever color YOU want because...it is YOUR party!!! LOL

No advice on the spray tan...I am allergic to what ever it is that "tans" you so I haven't do it.

I think a black dress & maybe some pearls would be perfect. And for the spray tan. Go to an upscale place. Mystic is okay, but a spa may be better. I've done Mystic & been airbrushed. Do a trial run. For sure!

I have had a mystic tan before and they worked really well. If you are a little bit nervous, maybe you could go several weeks before the wedding and just see how you like it?

As far as the dress, I think you will look beautifuly in whatever you choose. I would say go with whatever it is you want to wear and forget about "the rules." My bridesmaids wore black in my wedding.

I hope you have a nice week!

Oops - I meant beautiful!

Black is fine for the rehearsal dinner. The spray tan...I would definitely to a trial run of that before the big day!
