My upcoming trip to Naples (I leave Christmas Eve) has me thinking of the sunshine! Weather permitting, I normally spend most of my day reading my the pool or at the beach when I'm down there. Here is my favorite sun product. Don't let the amazingly professional packaging fool you, this tanning lotion is amazing! Having a fair complexion has its ups and downs. I need to always protect my skin in the sun, but I do love to get a bit of a tan. A friend of mine introduced me to Maui Babe a few years ago. This is tanning lotion/oil that works wonders! It doesn't contain SPF, so I put it in my body over the SPF 15-30 I normally use when sunbathing in Florida. My younger sister, who lives in Florida year round, is also a huge fan. It smells like coffee and has a very oily texture. I usually apply it and then wash my hands with soap and water right after. Its not a self tanner, though when its applied it does make my skin look darker. The dark color is not permanent and doesn't stain the skin.
I just finished reading this book. Its an overview of several of the important parties the Kennedy's hosted while in the White House. There are also many recipes from the dinners contributed by Rene Verdon the Kennedy's White House Chef. Jackie's first Social Secretary, Letitia Baldrige wrote the book in the late 1990s. Its a beautiful book and very interesting to read more about some of the more famous events the President and First Lady put together.

Ah you know I need to get my hands on that book! Gotta love Jackie. And I'm going to need to check out that lotion as well, I hate being so pale!
That looks like a great book!
I love Maui Babe! My future MIL, SIL, and myself have been using it for years! Everytime we go to Ron Jon we stock up! It really works even on fair skinned girls like me and you!
book looks amazing and you've sold me on the tanning lotion- we've got the same fair and freckly skin (love it)!

I'll have to try this lotion! I'm so pale, too, it may be the best thing that's ever happened to my white skin!
I wish we went to Naples at the same time! I have a feeling we'd get along great--All I do is sit at the beach with a water bottle, and read. There's nothing better than that =)
Happy Holidays!!
Oooh, thanks for the self-tanning tip. I'm as white as Breyer's Vanilla, so I need lots of help in that dept!
Oooh, ooh, ooh, must have that Kennedy / Baldridge (love her) book. Immediately. Adding to my ever-expanding Amazon queue now.
And that is such a good idea about layering the bronzing potion over the SPF. I'm also fair & freckled, and it never occurred to me that I could layer the sunscreen & bronzing agent. Thanks!
Have a Merry Christams! Safe travels :)
Putting this on my list!
That looks like a great book!
Work from home India
