I love that today's' date is 8-9-10! I'm nerdy, I know, but still!

So I made the lobster tails last night, and they turned out great! I used this recipe. I was very careful not to overcook them, which would have resulted in us ordering pizza for dinner, because I didn't have anything else planned. Thankfully, I bought a new digital thermometer from Williams Sonoma last weekend, and it came very much in handy!

Here is what the tails looked like before I put them in the over to broil:

And the final product on B's plate:
Cutting the shell off and removing the membrane was a little gross, but not difficult. I got the hang of it by the third tail. The marinade was really good, and I also served some clarified butter for dipping. This kind of upset my stomach, so I will not be dipping next time, and just using the marinade which was plenty anyway.

Thanks for all the advice! I'm so proud of myself! :)

Yummy! These seem so intimidating to make, but you make it sound do-able! This is definitely going on my to-make list ;) Thanks for sharing!

Looks good! Although removing the membrane sounds kinda gross, don't know if I could stomach that!
