Love the Red Carpet

Red Carpet season is kind of like Fantasy Football for women. This year's Oscars brought more hits than misses in my opinion. Even some of the "worst dressed" weren't that bad. Which is good!

My favorites are:
Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa-

I loved her in True Grit, and I've loved all her Red carpet choices this season. The best part is that she helped design this gorgeous dress, and it is age appropriate. She has looked like a beautiful 14 year old all season, and it's so refreshing! I think we are going to see more of her in the future, she's so talented.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein-

Some critics thought this look fell flat, but I liked it and here is why: Gwenyth always looks best with her signature straight blonde hair, and she always looks great in Calvin Klein. In the 90s she wore a lot of Calvin Klein, and she really looked so timeless and always chic.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab Haute Couture-

Mila is stunningly beautiful, and she wears fashion well. She has also looked lovely all season, and I think she nailed it last night. She has the right body type for this neckline, and it looks pretty. Not everyone can wear this style, it looks like it was made just for her petite frame.

Anne Hathaway-

I loved all her 8 looks, but the blue dress on the left was my favorite. I don't know the designer, but I love Anne in navy. She wears blue often, and it's my favorite color, so I'm always a fan.

Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, Jennifer Hudson (wowza!), and Jennifer Lawrence (also in Calvin Klein. Love him!) all looked beautiful last night! Red was certainly a popular color.

LOVED Anne's dresses. How amazing would it be to wear all those amazing designers in one night?! The blue is Armani Privé.

I love your your analogy!!! Yes, fantasy football for women!!!

I thought Hailee Steinfeld looked so glam in an old Hollywood way that generally doesn't seem to work for young Hollywood. She was classic, elegant and wonderfully, delightfully age-appropriate (do I hear an AMEN?).

Of course, Anne Hathaway was gorgeous...as usual. Mila's dress was pretty and I love that she doesn't "over sex it" but I was a bit distrubed by those "lacey things" on the breast that just made me think of pasties or something sticking out of her dress. She is adorable, though and really dresses for her figure! Love that.
