Dems Need Not Apply

I wonder if I have any liberal readers left? If so, this post is not for you...my apologies! For all the others, I received the best email from my father the other day with some great cartoons and images. I wanted to share some of them.

I love this one!

I find the above image disgusting! I could go on a rant, but I will not. I will only say this: something is seriously wrong with that picture!

I love this! Caribou Barbie:

I grew up riding on the back of my Dad's Harley, so I get a kick out of this:

For all you hockey/soccer/ballet/busy/tired/feeling-like-nothing-but-a-chauffeur Moms!

I'm sorry again for anyone who doesn't support the McCain/Palin ticket, this was not meant to offend, simply a shout out to Sarah Palin! I just can't get enough of her and I am so pleased with this ticket!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I was so happy to see the Spartans beat Notre Dame! It was so much fun to be back on campus and see my friends! I can't help but wonder...if Notre Dame creamed Michigan and MSU creamed Notre Dame.....I won't get my hopes up though.....

Yard Sign!

On Saturday evening B attended a Lincoln Day dinner for work. The surprise speaker was Cindy McCain! Yeah, I know, I was jealous too. He bought me a few presents from the event to comfort me. The most exciting present was this sign:

I'm thinking about taping it to our front door, because the window isn't big enough. The only downside of condo living- I can't cover my lawn with Republican propaganda! I'll just cover my door and windows instead!

Decorating Complete!

I've decided to stick with the Fall decor! Thanks for all who chimed in and a special thanks to Prep-E Girl for showing me the fab McCain/Palin sticker that matches perfectly!!!!

The V.P. Has Been Selected!

Photobucket

John McCain has just announced his running mate, and she's Sarah Palin Governor of Alaska! I am very excited that he has selected a woman. She is conservative, young (44), a mother and a wonderful role model! Guess what else? She's a former beauty queen! Yes folks, she was Miss Wasilla in 1984 and second runner-up to the Miss Alaska title!

Congratulations to Sarah Palin and to Senator McCain for being oh so wise to pick such a great running mate!!! On a side note, B had her picked for the last two months. He just felt she'd be such a great choice and a strategic asset to the campaign. Apparently, he is now owed some free lunches from the rest of his staff, because no one else picked her when they were placing bets! Yeah B!

This is the last GOP post for a bit.....

I thought I'd post some pictures from the McCain event. I was given the opportunity to meet the Senator after his speech, but I was feeling so sick that I decided it'd be better not to actually throw myself into a mob of people and then give our nominee my cold!

Check out the cool chandelier! And Meghan McCain. She's such a doll. The link to her blog is in my blogroll list.

And this one was taken in the foyer of The Reserve after the event had ended:

It was so much fun and I was so happy for my friends who helped to organize the event! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday! Its beautiful here in Michigan, and I'm finally starting to feel better!

Because I'm still sick!

I'm still sick, and I'm at work. Needless to say, little work will be done today, because I can't breathe and I sound like a man. So....I thought I'd share with you my Juicy Couture charm bracelet wish list. B bought me the Juicy Charm Bracelet in 2007 when I was confirmed in the Catholic Church (its a long story, but I was baptized Catholic then my Mom became Lutheran, so I was confirmed Lutheran. Wanted to Catholic, so I went through R.C.I.A. and was confirmed in April 2007.)

So, I have this bracelet and this charm:

I also have a high heel shoe charm, but I can't find a picture.

B is really good about buying me charms for special occasions. I got the bracelet and high heel charm on confirmation and the ballet charm for Christmas. Here are my other favorites I'd like to add to my collection:

All these charms have a special meaning to me. Clearly, I need the engagement ring! I'm a football fan (due to his being able to actually explain the game to me!), my dad lives in Naples, Florida and its my absolute favorite place in the U.S. so I love Palm Trees (not to mention Lilly), I love France and all things French, ice cream (obviously, who doesn't), and finally lobster! We've had a few special dates at No.VI, an upscale lobster bar. Plus, lobsters are my favorite preppy critter! Also, they is a personal story to go with each selection. For example, we've been getting ice cream more often this summer than in the past. There is an ice cream place a mile from our home next to our bank. So we'll drive to the bank to get cash (these ice cream places don't take debit) and then drive right past the ice cream place and up Woodward another mile so we can get ice cream from Dairy Mat!! Who does that?

Tonight I'm going to The Reserve (where our wedding will be) to attend a fundraiser for John McCain. He will be there taking photos and meeting with some contributors. I'm going to be hanging out with A and her husband, who helped to organize the event. Unfortunately, B won't be able to go with me, because he's still Up North. Only, do you know what this means???? I get to wear my pin again!! Haha! I'll take many pictures, maybe even one with the Senator!
