What I've Learned From Southern Bloggers, Part One

I've learned that I am seriously deprived way Up North here! I keep reading all about the glories of Sonic and Chick-Fil-A (which for a while, I'm embarrassed to admit I was running around pronouncing as Chick-Filla, not as Chick-Filet...I'm blond, give me a break), to which, I'm sad to say, I do not have access! There are a few wayward Sonics in Michigan, but they are not near by and are not located in places blond girls go alone in search of heaven fast food.

Oh how I wish I could pull up to this menu and order a cherry limeade....
Or, when craving a special indulgence, this lovely meal....Just add this to my list of reasons to evacuate move South!

My True Self

Miss Janice is doing the BEST giveaway! Click here to enter.

Miss Janice is so fabulous, I can't even begin to tell you! She throws the best parties and always shares pictures, she does a post each week featuring a reader photographed in her best Lilly, she always lends advice on etiquette and is just plain fun to read!

I think I've written about my desire to move "South" in the past. My father lives in Naples, Florida and I just love it there. I grew up spending nearly every vacation in Naples and would LOVE to evacuate this tundra and head to Florida!

However, B and I have discussed moving to other Southern locales like: Tennessee, New Orleans, Savannah, anywhere in the Carolina's, Richmond or D.C. or really anywhere in the South!

I just love the Southern lifestyle. Getting to know some of you Southern ladies through blogging has only cemented my desire! I feel like Southerners are different than people in the Midwest. While I appreciate the Midwestern values I have, the people aren't always so kind to one another here in Detroit! (Really! Don't ever consider this a place for a vacation...Northern Michigan? Yes! Its wonderful, but Southeastern Michigan isn't really all that great. I hate to say it!)

Anyway, enough rambling on about my evacuation plans and obsession with Southern style, grace and just plan Southernness and head on over and visit Miss Janice. I promise you'll be glad you did!
