A Few Things

Angie from Pink Pelican sent me an email to let me (and all my readers) know that there is a Fall Sale on Lilly going on right now! 20-40% off ladies!! I checked it out and found some really cute stuff and great deals. Take a little peek!

Also, I know I've been quieter on the political front as of late, and that is for two reasons:
1. I thought some of you might start to get sick of me!
2. I was invited to read and contribute to another blog dedicated to politics.

But, worry not, the new blog has provided me with some funny cartoons!

Thanks to my friends over at The Prepublican for supplying me with these cartoons, as well as, laughs, information and friendship!

That second cartoon got me thinking. If you were on trial for some crime (imaginary of course!) and needed to hire an attorney. Would you prefer a wonderfully charismatic public speaker who has never before tried a case in court? Or the more experienced attorney, even if he's older, grayer, and perhaps not as outgoing? What if you were having surgery? I'd certainly want the doctor that has "seen it all" rather than a newbie who looks great, sounds great, but who has never actually preformed the operation! Just a thought.

Hahahaha! Your post made me smile :-)

I completely agree with your last thought about the speaker. He IS an excellent speaker, but I'm not sure he would be a good president. I feel like so many people tell me (who are voting for Barrack) "Oh, but when he speaks, I get chills. I just trust him so much." Well... if that's all they are voting on then that's a problem.

Hey is there any chance I get get access to see the Prepublican blog? I'd love to read it. Thanks!

I really love the doctor/lawyer comparison! Excellent!

I think that is a really good analogy (doctor/lawyer)!
