Most of you know that I work in the Children's Department of a library about 30 minutes from my home. March is Michigan's Reading Month, and I was asked by the daughter of a co-worker if I would be able to come into the school where she works to read to the kindergarten classes. She also asked that I explain to the kids what i do at my job, and why reading is important to me at work and at home. I figured that in the spirit of Lent and adding some service to my life I decided to visit the school on March 25th.
Now I'm trying to decide on two or three books to read to the class. SO, all you mom's out there, what were your kindergartner's favorite books? I'm taking suggestions. I loved Madeline more than anything else, but I think I'd rather read something that the kids think is funny, and less female specific. Right now, I'm planning to read Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
In other news, I'm happy to report that I did indeed purchase the LV Delightful bag I had been saving for and wanting for quite some time. I purchased it from the LV boutique at Saks. I was able to earn double points on my Saks card. I was so happy to carry that big brown LV bag all around the mall! Actually, my husband did the carrying and someone made a comment about how lucky I am that my husband bought me something from LV. he was quick to tell them that I had saved the money myself. I was ready to let him take the credit! I might not have ever saved the money if he didn't pretty much support and entertain us! LOL! So it is a gift from both of us!
I also bought a pair of high glass black Hunter boots. I think it was time I invested in a pair because a) they're classic and I love the looks of them and b) I live in the tundra and it's still freaking snowing here!!!! I needed a pick me up that is Winter related. I also bought the cable knit socks. Luckily they're also fleece and very warm. I wasn't sure what to expect.
Are you dreaming of Spring yet??? I cannot wait!

As far as books for kiddos, both of those are good. I also love the Amelia Bedelia books, Where the Wild Things Are, Caps for Sale, and A case of Stripes
