Also, thanks to everyone for your sweet comments and feedback on our engagement photos! When I saw the rest of them I was even more excited! They really turned out nicely. I think I figured out why I thought my face looked dirty in some of them. The original pictures were a little grainy. Once I saw more, my makeup looked great. She also used a liquid foundation (which I don't use, and made my face break out a little bit) which was a little darker than my skin. I am going to bring my own base the morning of my wedding. AND I hope to have a little tan too! :) I wish I could do my own eye makeup like she did! They really "pop"! Ha!

Awe-Summm!!!

Sisterhood

Preppy 101 gave me this award. I feel really honored to get this because I truly do love and appreciate the sisterhood we have here in blogland. Thanks for all your support and thank you for giving your readers a little glimpse into your lives. We're all so blessed.

Both these awards are extremely special, because I do try to be creative and entertaining and I also love making friends. The reason why I started this blog in the first place was to branch out and meet new people. I was pleasantly surprised to see that people actually liked reading what I have to say and that I truly have meet and made some great friends! Some days reading every one's blogs is what puts smile on my face. Thank you for the awards and for all your support with everything. I do feel like I was given a few other awards recently, that I haven't recognized. If this is the case, please send me an email or leave a comment and remind me. I'm a little forgetful!

Thanks to everyone for you sweet comments and for your prayers. My grandfather's surgery went well, and the doctor is "cautiously optimistic". However, he advised my uncle (who lives in Boston) not to return for his trial that starts on Friday. He's an attorney, not "on trial"! LOL! I am going to the hospital after my dentist appointment this afternoon and will let you all know how he's doing.

Actually this whole blogging experience has been so rewarding for me! Sometimes when my day is too busy to check with you girls, I feel sad! I'm just so glad I decided to do this blog! Thanks for reading, and thanks for writing! It means the world to me!

Also, thank you for all your kind comments about B's grandpa. I passed it along to him. :) He seems to be doing alright. He's back at work today, and I hope it'll help get him back into routine.

Forgetful!

Preppy Little Dress just gave me an award, and it reminded me that Running Just as Fast as I Can also gave me an award a while back! I'm so sorry I forgot! :( I got this award once before, but its so fun!

My obsessions are:

1. Christmas Cookies- I've been a baking machine recently. I will post some pictures. I've made 7 types of cookies and packaged them up for friends and family! Poor B has been exercising major self control not eating any of them!

2. All things related to Martha Stewart!

3. The Nutcracker! I had so much fun seeing this ballet with B! My home is decorated for Christmas and there is an overwhelming Nutcracker theme! I just love them!

4. Planning my Wedding- or the need to actually get started on the nitty-gritty!

5. Florida- I've been more times then I can count. My dad lives in Naples (we spent most vacations at our home there). I also love Disney! B and I are spending our honeymoon in FL. One week at the Swan in Disney and the other in Naples (not sure which resort yet).

1. Kettle One Extra Dirty martini with Blue Cheese Olives...ymmm. I sound like a total lush, but just typing that makes my mouth water. I have them rarely, but I love them! And yes, its almost always "them" not "one"!

2. The "Whispering Sisters": Jacqueline and Lee Bouvier! I have read so many biographies on Jackie and Lee, my fiance teases me! I just love them so much! They get two pictures because they are so fabulous!

3. The Real Housewives of Orange County! Need I say more? With a few new casts, I think the original is still the best! Can't wait for the new season!

Happy Birthday To Me!

It's my birthday today! And I am still working! LOL! Its ok though, because I will be celebrating this weekend. B is taking me to dinner on Saturday and on Sunday, I'm heading back to Frankenmuth with B and my mom. Its become a little tradition of ours to shop the outlets and eat a delicious chicken dinner in Frankenmuth for our birthdays!

I haven't opened my main gift from B yet, but last night he gave me charm I really wanted! Remember this post? Looks like my loving "pre-husband" (its my new name for him instead of fiance, I'm not sure why, but I think its funny) got the hint! Boy, the blog really has so many wonderful advantages for me! Anyway, he bought the lobster charm! I'm thrilled and can't wait to wear it this weekend!

Also, I received another award! I feel so blessed that people actually read what I write! My mom keeps saying, "Wow, I can't believe people read your blog!" She really doesn't mean that how it reads, she just doesn't quite "get" blogging. She can barely email...

I also wanted to say a little piece on the election. As you all know, I supported Senator McCain and Governor Palin. And I'm really bummed we didn't pull it off! However, I love this country very much, and what I love about it the most is our freedom and especially our freedom to choose our leaders. Therefore, I will never disrespect the President-elect, and will leave politics out of my blog until 2010, when I hope we'll take back a majority in Congress! But until then, back to cooking, fashion, and all things cute and preppy! Thank you for bearing with me these past few months leading to the election, and I hope I haven't alienated any readers! If I have, its safe to come back!

I am SO EXCITED!

As many of you know, I'm rather new to the world of blogging. I'm hooked on it though, because I love to make new friends and read all about your lives and adventures. Well, today I've received my very first award! Can I even tell you how happy I am? I still can't believe anyone wants to read what I write, and I got the "Diamond Award"? Too cool!
