Mystery Date

I had so much fun last night, I had to share it with all of you. About two weeks ago B called and told me to keep August 20th free, because he was taking me on a "mystery date". So yesterday he picked me up from work at 5:00 and asked me where I wanted to have dinner. I picked Sweet Lorraine's. I love this restaurant! There are a few locations around Metro-Detroit and one in Livonia right near my library! We had a lovely meal (I had tomato bisque and a delicious salad with steak and B had a chicken cesar sandwich. We both had a hard cider, which is my "new drink". I love it!) the whole time I was trying to guess what the rest of the date would include. After dinner, B drove us to the movie theatre in Livonia and then I was really stumped! There were no movies being released on Wednesday! Well, after we got some popcorn we walked to our theatre and I saw a sign that read: "Cirque du Soleil: Delirium". I was so excited because I love Cirque du Soleil and I had no idea they did this kind of thing! The show was wonderful and I've had a smile on my face all day today! I was just so happy that B went to the trouble to plan a surprise for me and that he picked something that he knows I love so much!

We actually got engaged after a Cirque du Soleil performance at Downtown Disney in April. I had always loved watching them on Bravo and couldn't wait to see a live show. It was perfection when he proposed afterwards. He's great at planning surprises!
