Merry Belated Christmas Everyone!

Today is the first day in a week I've had time to get on blogger! I've just been going and going and going.... I hope you all had a lovely Christmas/ Hanukkah! I sure did. And I also had the opportunity to see many of my dear friends who were home visiting! I'm a bit sad its over! Luckily, I don't go back to work until the 5th!

Yesterday, B and I decided to go out for brunch. We went to Deli Unique. If you're ever in the area, I recommend this place! Its great for breakfast or lunch. In fact, B had breakfast and I had a great chicken salad sandwich! B then decided that he did NOT need to watch the Detroit Lions lose their last game, so we went to Birch Run on a whim. I got a few tee shirts at J.Crew, a clock at Pottery Barn, and B bought a sweatshirt and two long sleeve tops at Northface. It was really cold, but we had a fun time together!

Thanks for all your comments on my last post about our neighbor. Things have certainly quieted down over there. On Christmas Eve, we were heading over to B's dad's and our neighbor happened to be on the porch (we share it). B was pulling the car up for me because the parking lot was an ice rink and I was wearing heels (of course!). Well, neighbor says to me (rather rudely), "Hey guys, when you leave a note can you please sign your names next time? I didn't know who wrote that."
Me: "Oh, well, we assumed you knew it was us considering we're your direct neighbor."
Neighb: Looks around, motions with hands. "We have many neighbors."
Me: "I understand, but we share a common wall with you!"
Neighb: "Ok, well, now I have to go to court for a misdemeanor....blah,blah, I'll leave you my number and in the future I can come home of he's barking. I have roommate now (a whole new story, ladies!!!!) and she, Tiffany, can come home whenever the dog is barking. She was in the hospital the other day when you called the police." (Should I be feeling bad?)
Me: At this point B has pulled up, rolled down the window and is listening. "Ok, that'd be great."
Neighb: "And he (the dog) is 13 and half deaf and my only option is put him down. I'm not ready to do that."
Me: "I understand, please leave us your number then. Merry Christmas."

I have received no number. I haven't met the new roommate, or gotten her number. I don't really feel bad for him. I get that his dog is old and he doesn't want to let him go yet. I would never imply he should. I just don't see how that is related to his rudeness and that fact he leaves that poor dog alone all the time. I guess the roommate is there more, because her car is always here, and the dog is being really quiet. Drama over. For now!
