Awhile back, Vineyard Vogue did a series of post about her fear of cooking fish. Well, I could definitely relate! I LOVE seafood, and order it 9 times out of 10 in a restaurant. in fact, most of my favorite restaurants are seafood places. I've cooked fish a few times, but all those occasions were with pre-prepared fish (you know the type at the grocery store that is already stuffed or seasoned and all you have to do is follow the instructions and bake it?).
Many bloggers commented and helped Vineyard Vogue by supplying various recipes. Puttin' on the G.R.I.T.S. gave one for white fish, that I tried last night and it was delicious! I used tilapia and pan fried it in butter, lemon and cooking sherry. I took their advice and made jasmine rice (with low-fat coconut milk- my addition). B was so impressed! And I even impressed myself!

I'm so impressed! I don't like seafood so I never cook it and always think it's interesting how people prepare it!
I make salmon all the time! Throw it into a baking dish lined in foil. I usually throw on a slice or two of lemon and some spices. Wrap up the foil around it, and I sometimes put some asparagus into the dish to bake with it and it's so good!
Glad you conquered the fish !!
Greetings from a fellow metro detroiter :)
I love trying new recipes from bloggers---we should all start one blogging site to house all the great recipe's.
Hope you're having a great day!!

Wow, good job! I have a great recipe for a Seafood Alexander sauce, but the fish part, I leave up to other people. Last time I cooked fish, it wasn't cooked...
