Flower Girl Basket

I've been thinking about the perfect gift for my cousin as a thank you for standing in our wedding. I've decided that I'd like to buy her flower girl basket and make it extra special by having her monogram put on it in some way. I think this will be a very neat keepsake for her.

I've done a little googling and haven't found much that I like. Here is one type I like, but I do not like the price!
They are available here (also photo credit) for $65.00 (and that's just the starting price!)

Obviously I would need different colors. If I could have my way, I'd choose the second image, but have the full monogram put on the bow. I think it would look great with her dress!

I also was considering going to the craft store, buying an ivory wicker basket and having a ribbon monogrammed on my own and then somehow wrapping it around the base of the basket. That is a last resort.

Does anyone know where I can get something along these lines at a a more reasonable rate? Or should I just buy a similar basket as above (only plain) and take it to a shop to be monogrammed? Help, please! :)

Tonight, B and I are heading to downtown Detroit (you know how much I love that... yeah, remember this?) to eat in the hood in Mexican Town. All kidding aside, I'm actually pretty excited to eat down there, especially because we're going with a big group of friends to celebrate my best friend Sarah's 25th birthday! I posted a few pictures of her from our BBQ. She and my brother are dating. Its a really funny story. When she and I were in High School, she had a major crush on him. They dated a bit, but it was nothing serious because he was already in college and he just wasn't serious about any girls when he was 19. What boy is? She ended up dating this one jerk great guy all through college. Well, they broke up last year (amen!). Thankfully, Sarah and my brother always remained on good terms, and they began dating last summer, much more seriously this time around! I'm thrilled for both of them, because they are just such a great couple. I'll try to remember to take pictures! i always seem to remember to put the camera in my purse, but I forget to take it out and use it! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

The second basket is darling! I'm sure you could use the image as inspiration and see if anyone on Etsy can do it for a lower price.

Love the second basket. I would buy one from a craft store and have someone monogram it for you. You can get one really cheap.

Have fun tonight!

Cute baskets, and I agree you might be able to find something on Etsy that would work for you and be a better price!

Hope you had a great weekend! Those baskets are cute, but at 65+ each, wow, I don't know. Maybe take the pic to a craft store & see what they think you should do? I'm SO not crafty, so I'm not much help!

Cute baskets. I love the one with the big bow. I would try and find one at a craft store and have it monogramed at a kiosk. I know you could pull off the same look for a lot less.

Great idea. Your wedding is going to be so beautiful.

is there a local monogramming place in your neck of the woods? maybe run by there with those pics and pick (haha) their brains on more cost-effective ways to get the flower-girl baskets of your monogrammed dreams :)
