The Skinny Pant

I really love wearing black. I also love wearing bright Lilly dresses, but in Michigan, in the winter, I wear black. I also wear it in the Summer. I won't lie. Its sort of my favorite color to wear. Black, and navy. Though never together!

I love wearing capris in the summer. I have so many different styles. I cannot wear them in the winter (or really even the Fall for that matter. Heck, I wore a Lilly pair on Easter this year and froze!). I've been searching for a Winter substitute. Many of my friends love leggings. I own a few pairs, but there is something about the lack of bum coverage/support (I need a thicker material for everyday wear. At the gym or ballet, class leggings are fine, but for work? Non!) that make me shy away from wearing them under anything other than a sweatshirt bumming around the house. Such a dilemma! :)

My sister knew of my desire for the perfect skinny plant pant, so she gave the early Christmas gift of the perfect pair! Now I'm hooked, and I want like three more pairs! They are so comfortable, flattering and very chic! The pictured pair is from Ann Taylor Loft , but the ones I own are Tommy Hilfiger purchased at Macys. They were on sale and are nearly sold out, so I couldn't find a picture on the website. The above pair are very similar.

Today I'm wearing the new skinny pants with a longish black turtle neck and my gold Revas. I'm feeling rather like her:Which goes to show that timeless style is just that: timeless. I better stock up on these while I can....I mean before the powers that be decide to bring back mom jeans again!
