Tailgate Time

Tomorrow, we're headed to Michigan State University to tailgate with friends and cheer on the Spartans against the Irish. I'm super excited! My college roommate recently got engaged to her long time boyfriend (who happened to graduate with me from high school, she is from another town), and I've yet to see her and congratulate them. I'll also see many of my friends that I rarely get to see because we're spread out all over the Mid-West now.

Everyone is bringing loads of food and snacks (and obviously booze). I plan to pack some snacks, hot dogs, and a dessert. Sur la Table just opened today at my mall. They carry a football shaped cookie cutter (and it's only a dollar!). I called and had one set aside for me. Tonight, I'll bake some brownies from scratch (I really love Nigella Lawson's recipe), then turn them into little footballs. I found this idea here. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a hit! I know it'll be a hit with my husband at least!

Rain is in the forecast, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't get too bad. We will pack some rain gear and umbrellas just in case! Go green!

Your weekend sounds like so much fun. I love to tailgate, but haven't done it in awhile.

The football brownies are the best idea. So cute!

Have fun and take some photos! :)

the cookie cutter is just adorable- I showed this to my rowerboys at my regatta last night and they said they want cookies like that!
